Black Power
Solidarity takes the shape of a panther

An actual 1968 OSPAAAL lithograph, not an editorial reconstruction. The general OSPAAAL practice of folding posters into Tricontinental is documented separately; it does not establish the mailing history of this specific museum specimen.
Smithsonian delivery derivative at width 1200; converted to WebP quality 82 without retouching or cropping.
Rostgaard’s 1968 Black Power poster makes a panther the image of solidarity across borders. The Smithsonian preserves this lithograph and releases its digital image as public domain. Read it beside the breakfast article: an international emblem and the practical work of community provision can speak about the same struggle at different scales. Its force is a political intervention, not a complete account of every Black movement or experience.
