A shopping net holds its contents with a remarkably small amount of material. The DDR Museum records this example as a polyamide fibre product known as Dederon, a name assembled from DDR and the ending on. Its open mesh makes the groceries visible and its empty form almost disappears. Rather than treating it as the invention or exclusive property of one political system, this entry follows a particular East German material and name. The museum record gives no production date; it belongs in the undated group.
